DIET OF ARTHRITIS AND RHEUMATISM
 

Fed in a balanced way and, above all, watch the contribution of vitamin B (integral cereals, beer yeast, vegetables and hortalizes), calcium (milk and derivates), oligoelements (liver, meat, fish, and integral cereals) and vitamin D (air, sun).

Change your alimentation to a diet for arthritics

Consume foods rich in sulfur, asparagus, eggs, garlics and onion. The sulfur is necessary for the reparation and reconstruction of bones, cartilages and connective tissue, and favors the absorption of calcium. Other useful foods are the vegetables of green color, fresh vegetables, no-acid fresh fruits, whole grains, oats flour, brown rice and fish of cold water (mackerel, salmon, tuna, trout, and sardines).
Consume foods with histidine, rice, wheat and rye, which is convenient to expel heavy metals (copper and iron), which have some patients.
Consume fresh pineapple (not canned), alfalfa, fiber (ground linseed, oats bran and rice fiber), parsley, broccoli, spinach, carrot, tomato, lettuce, cabbage, kale, apple, beetroot, turnip, grape, garlic, cherries, honey bee and cider vinegar.

Orange juice and water

In the case of acute rheumatism, the patient should be put in a short fast of orange juice and water for three or four days; as long as are working well the liver and kidneys. After the fast with juice, the patient must be put in a strict diet for 14 days. In this regime, the orange or the grapefruit can be taken for the breakfast; the lunch can consist in a raw salad of seasonal vegetables with raisins, figs or dates; and the dinner can finish with one or two vegetables cooked at steam. There is a second opinion that you have to avoid the citrics (I leave you to your criterion).

Well-balanced Diet

The patient must take the ripe fruits, fresh vegetables, and plenty of serum. Avoid the derivates of the meat. Even, to avoid all the meat and fishes; white bread, sugar, and refined cereals, rich foods, indigestible and much seasoned meals; tea and coffee, alcohol, sauces, brines and seasonings.
Avoid the solanaceous vegetables (peppers, eggplant, tomato and white potato), because many people are sensitive to the compound solanine, causing pain and bothering.
